How to Recover NTLDR in Windows XP

Hi,
Many time we face an error called "NTLDR is missing, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart". Today we going to learn how to recover NTLDR in Windows XP.  Follow the step...


  • First insert the Windows XP bootable CD into your CD-drive and reboot your computer.
  • When your computer prompted a message to "press any key to boot from the CD, press the any key".
  • Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R" key to repair Windows 
  • log into your Windows installation by pressing the "1" key then pressing enter.
    Here you will be prompted for your administrator password, enter your that password 
  • then copy the below two files to the root directory of the primary hard disk. 
  • In the below example you are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter "E" to drive c. This letter may be different on your computer

copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\

Once copy both files, remove the CD and reboot your system.
