How to connect two network using router in Packet Tracer?

Hello friends!!
Today we are going learn how to configure a router in packet tracker, friends if your are a Networking Professional than you have to know how to configure router and how to protect your network and Packet Tracker is a good software for practice. This tutorial is good for those who are fresher or new comer in networking. Here we are going to try to connect two different network in a single router with basic configuration. Before start lets know our lab. We have two different networks, each network contain two pcs and one switch.

Lab Setup:

Network A: first PC IP: 192.168.0.3/24
                    Second PC IP: 192.168.0.4/24
                    Gateway IP for both pcs: 192.168.0.1

Network B: First PC IP: 192.168.1.3/24
                    Second PC IP: 192.168.1.4/24
                    Gateway IP for both pcs: 192.168.1.1

Router IP: First fastEthernet IP: 192.168.0.1
                  Second fastEthernet IP: 192.168.1.1

Let's start and follow the step.

Step 1: First packet tracker by clicking icon of packet tracker after start packet tracker opened i look like following image.


Step 2: Now click on router icon and select any router series here i am using 2811 as show below


Step 3: Now take a switch by click on icon of switch, here i am using switch 2950-24 as show below:


Step 4: Now i am going to connect two pcs with my switch by click on end devices icon as show below:


Step 5: Now i am going to connect both pcs to switch by click on connect icon, i am select copper straight and to connect with pc just select copper straight and click on pc select fastethernet0 as show below:



Step 6: Now click on switch and click on FastEthernet0/2 as show below:


Step 7: Now repeat steps as mention above with second PC. 

Step 8: Now it's time to connect your switch with router. Go to connection icon and select copper straight (note: here i am using copper straight but you can choose any media to connect with router.) click on switch and click on router. When you click on router it shows you some option as shows below:

Click on fastEtherent0/0
Now our one network is ready now assign ip address to pcs. to assign IP address click on pc a wizard will open as show below:


Now click on IP address and give IP 192.168.0.3, in Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and in gateway type 192.168.0.1 as show below:


Repeat this steps for second pc. Now our Network A is ready.


Steps 9: Now Repeat Step 3 to Step 8 for setup Network B. IP address of Network B's PCs are mention in Lab Setup.

Step 10: Now Click on router and click on CLI a wizard will open as shows below: 




Step 11: Now follow the command to configure router, commands are given below:

Your router is now configured. Now its time to test. 
To test  select Add simple PDU and click on one computer to another computer, if you get successful message as show in figure you had successfuly configured a router and connect two different network.
