How to configure e-mail into Outlook

Hi Friends,

Today we are going to learn how to configure email into the outlook. Some time IT professional specially freshers make some mistake to configure outlook and face issues. Here we learn how to configure outlook using POP. This method will help them to configure outlook easily.

Here I'm using Windows XP Pro and MS Office 2010.

To configure outlook please follow the steps:

Step 1:- Click on start then click on setting and after that click on control panel as show below-



Step 2:-  Now in control panel click on mail icon as show below-



Step 3:-  A wizard will open click on add to add new email account as show below-



Step 4:-  A wizard will open asking for Profile Name give the profile name, here give the name called  User and click on OK as show below-




Step 5:-  A wizard will open click on Manual setting and click Next as show below-



Step 6:-  A wizard will open asking for Your name, email id, POP server name and SMTP server name . Fill all require entry and click Next. Here i'm using my name with abc.com as POP and SMTP server name as show  below-




Step 7:-  A wizard will open click on Finish  as show below-



Congratulation You have configured Email into outlook successfully.
